Three Rivers has two sheltered
housing schemes – one at Schooner Court in Hartlepool and the other at The Garth in Ferryhill. Both schemes provide secure, convenient and comfortable accommodation for older people who are active enough not to require full time care or support.
Tenants live independently in self contained flats or bungalows. Emergency
help is available 24 hours a day through a community alarm fitted in every property. Each scheme also has communal facilities including a lounge and laundry that tenants may use.
Each scheme has a Scheme Coordinator who will contact residents on a regular basis using the alarm system to check that they are well. They are part of a larger Independent Living Service. This specialist team provides advice and assistance on a wide range of services that help enable people to carry on living independently in their homes.
