I have worked for Three Rivers since 1998. First as a Customer Service
Advisor and then in my current role after being here for over three
years.
Before I joined Three Rivers, I worked in a quarry sales office for
almost ten years and for BT directory enquiries after that.
Because my job is so varied, it is never dull. My work involves the
allocation and letting of properties, monitoring and chasing up arrears,
dealing with neighbour disputes/nuisance issues and responding to telephone
queries and letters. I am currently attending college on a day-release
doing a National Certificate in Housing & Maintenance.
I spend approximately half of my time in the office, the rest of the
time out on the patch visiting tenants and potential tenants at their
homes. My patch covers the Durham area. As well as the city itself,
I manage properties in West Rainton, Bearpark, Gilesgate and Witton
Gilbert.
I didn’t necessarily plan to have a career in housing, but I have
found my time with Three Rivers very rewarding and enjoyable. I especially
like to work as part of a team, and enjoy meeting all different kinds
of people.
