Martin Knowles, Chief Executive
Martin is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants and holds an MBA qualification with the University of Durham. He joined Three Rivers in September 1999 initially as Finance Director after spending 10 years in finance director roles in the NHS in the North East. Prior to that he worked with British Gas and left the organisation as Regional Capital Accountant. Martin has overall responsibilities for the management of the Group and its effective performance. He also oversees the marketing & PR function at Three Rivers. He is on the National Housing Federation's (NHF) North East Regional Executive Committee 2005-06. |

Mike Axe, Finance Director
Mike is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy. He joined Three Rivers in January 2003 after leaving a seven-year career as Financial Accountant at English Partnerships. Mike has considerable experience in working closely with local authorities, development companies and the private sector on physical regeneration projects in various parts of the UK. Previous to being at English Partnerships, Mike worked for Teesside Development Corporation. At Three Rivers, Mike also has corporate responsibility for IT, personnel and office administration. |

Pete Ottowell, Operations Director
Pete is a corporate member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and has worked in the sector for the past 27 years. His career began working as an Estates Officer with Hartlepool Borough Council in 1974, moving to Three Rivers Housing Association in 1977, initially as a Housing Officer. His career has developed within Three Rivers over the past 23 years and he became Customer Services Director in 1999 (title then changed to Operations Director in July 2002). Pete has overall responsibility for the delivery of all services to our customers in our mainstream lettings and supported housing. This includes the provision of repairs and maintenance. Pete also manages all of the Group’s Care & Repair agencies. |

Lynda Peacock, Director of Development & Regeneration
Lynda is a graduate in Urban Design and has an MSc in Architecture, with a wide range of experience in both the public and private sector. She has worked in the housing association and local authority sector for over 15 years. Lynda joined Three Rivers in February 2004 after leaving a senior business development role at Sarsen Housing Association/Silbury First, a large RSL in the South West of England, to return to her roots in the North East. Prior to that she worked at Housing 21 and for local authorities in South Gloucester, Mendip and Bath.
Her responsibilities are related to growth in the business, developing new housing schemes and working on regeneration projects with a wide range of public and private sector partners. |
